Wouter immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1978. He and his wife,
Margreet established a small hog farm in the Rimbey area. They have since seen
their farm grow from a small commercial farm to a 300 sow grand parent
multiplier for Hypor. In 2008, Wouter converted this to a 3,200 place feeder barn which is now owned and operated by his son, Elbert.
Wouter is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys big game and sheep
bow-hunting, fishing, mountain camping, and skiing.
